Guest House and Gallery
Laura Lowry-Greene and her husband Mel Greene's life had changed forever when they spotted the Maple Common Hotel for sale on the internet on Friday, June 16th 2006. They were so excited they decided to drive to Columbus the next day to look at it. From then on, it was theirs. '"It was love at first sight," said Laura. Seeing the hardwood floors and ceilings with original tin was too hard to pass up. They knew that they wanted to relocate to Columbus and that it was going to be their new home.
Laura and her husband put a lot of work into the hotel. They wanted a space that encouraged local artists to sell and showcase their work proudly. Laura is known for being so passionate about advocating for art and local artists to have the chance to showcase their work.
"It's not the art of hospitality, it's the hospitality of art."
- Laura Lowry-Greene
